２月24日〜３月12日までタイに旅行してきました。インドでは買えない食料の調達やらダイビングやら、いろんな方との出会いやら、とても充実していて満喫した２週間でした^^。
今日は、初めの10日間を過ごしたタオ島を紹介します。
From the 24th of February to the 12th of March, we traveled in Thailand, a country we both love. Whether spending time diving in crystal clear waters, or shopping for foods and spices we can't get in India, we had a fantastic time each and every day of our trip.
Today, I'd like to introduce the island of Koh Tao to you.
タオ島は、タイの南方、タイ湾に浮かぶ小さな島です。
ダイビングで有名なサムイ島と並んでダイバーに人気の場所ですが、リゾート開発の進むサムイ島に比べると、まだまだのんびりした雰囲気です。
２年前にここで約１ヶ月半、ダイビング三昧して過ごしたのですが、２年経って訪れても島の様子はほとんど変わっておらず、なんだかうれしくなってしまいました。
それに、深刻な公害を抱えるムンバイ（ちなみにムンバイの海の色はこちら★）に住む私達にとって、タオ島の抜けるような青空と底まで見渡せそうな透明度の海、新鮮な空気は、２年前よりも強烈な印象を受けました。
